About your thread in the complaints forum:

This is DeviantArt not DeviantWhatRedDavidThinksIsGoodArt. People can put up whatever they want, and your opinion really doesn't have any sway in that.

Also, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What you may see as common, others might see as unique. It depends entirely on the person looking at it.

While taking a snapshot of your cat or a flower is not necessarliy art, that doesn't mean that all pictures of cats or flowers aren't art. I have some pictures in my gallery of cats and flowers that I'm extremely proud of. That I had to think about and set up and make sure the settings on my camera were properly set for. Why? because I took the time to learn about cameras and how they work, such as the correct aperture and the corresponding f stop, shutter speed, etc. Not to mention all the composition rules involved. That, my friend, does have some artistic quality to it.

Lastly, I find it a bit hypocritical since all you seem to have is three pictures, one of which is exceedingly common, one that violates every composition rule in the book, and another that was either badly photoshoped or underexposed.
